Teeth sensitivity may be a result of:

  • neglect in oral hygiene resulting in tooth decay and/or periodontal disease

  • acidic foods & drinks
  • teeth whitening
  • brushing too hard (“scrubbing”), using a hard toothbrush or overly abrasive toothpastes
  • teeth clenching or grinding (bruxism)

  • cracked teeth
  • medical conditions (gastric reflux, bulimia, dry mouth) and drugs (aspirin, antihistamines)
